About Tom Sheppard

I started in tech at elementary school operating mimeograph machines. Every job since has been a pale copy.

My career focused on high-reliability computing where mistakes cost lives. I once led a software team that had four major releases in two years with zero customer-reported defects. Impossible? I haven't bribed you yet.

In retirement I continue to destroy others' software by just using it. Latent bugs find me. One guy called me a "software assassin." He later became a missing person.
